Jack Gillette Obituary

Jack Clesson Gillette, age 90 of Fremont, passed away on Sunday afternoon, July 14,2024 at his home.  He was born on June 2, 1934 in Fremont, Michigan to Clesson Claire & Alma Doris (Inman) Gillette.  Jack was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He had been employed at Gerber Products Company for 33 years until his retirement in 1991.  Jack had been a volunteer fireman for the Fremont Fire Department during the 1960’s.  He was also a member of First Reformed Church in Fremont.  Jack was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and he loved to golf, travel, and spend time in Arizona as well as with his family.  On December 6, 1952 he married Barbara Ann Feistamel, and she preceded him in death on December 6, 2021.  Jack is survived by 5 children:  Richard “Rick” (Cathy) Gillette, Randal “Randy” (Donna) Gillette, Raene (Guy) Redinger, Ryan (Mary Lou) Gillette, Rochelle “Shelly” (Mike) Sajdak; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Glenna Morgan.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at First Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastor Joel Zuidema officiating.  Interment will be in Reeman Cemetery.  Suggested Memorials:  Harmony Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
