James T. Pearson

James T. Pearson, age 89 of Hesperia, passed away early Friday morning, October 28, 2022 at his home.  He was born on October 22, 1933 in Mears, Michigan to Edward & Phyllis (Thomas) Pearson.  Jim was a US Navy Seabee Veteran, he had been employed by Teledyne Continental Motors for 39 years until his retirement in 1997, and he had been the sexton at West Hesperia Cemetery for many years.  He was a Mason, and was a member of the Hesperia Arcana Lodge #346.  Jim loved tinkering with things, and enjoyed carpentry.  He also liked John Deere tractors, and he was a MSU Spartan fan.  On March 12, 1955 he married Virginia “Jenny” Fairchild and she survives him along with 3 children:  Judy (Curt) Pearson-Schumacher of Hesperia, Jimmy (Brenda) Pearson of Muskegon, JoAnna (Dennis) David of Hesperia; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.  He is also survived by his best friend, Bill Rightnour of Pennsylvania.  Jim was preceded in death by his son Johnny Pearson, and by 1 brother & 2 sisters.  The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be on Thursday from 1-2 PM.  Interment will be in West Hesperia Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  The American Cancer Society.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
