James "Jim" Floyd Wolcott

James “Jim” Floyd Wolcott, age 81 of Holton, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Woodland Gardens Assisted Living in Spring Lake.  He was born on October 14, 1944 in Dade County, Florida to Floyd Erwin & Anna (Andrews) Wolcott.  Jim was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era, and he had been a truck driver for 47 years until his retirement.  On October 16, 1965 he married Esther Barr and she survives him along with 2 sons:  James Floyd (Michele) Wolcott, Jr., Ron Charles; 1 brother, Robert (Tommye) Wolcott; his adopted sister, Nancy; sister-in-law, Mim Wolcott; and by several nieces & nephews.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents Floyd & Anna Wolcott, and by 2 brothers Floyd Wolcott and Erwin Wolcott.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation of service.  Suggested Memorial:  Heartland Hospice of Newaygo County.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
