James "Jimmy" Romine, Jr. Obituary

James “Jimmy” Albert Romine, Jr., age 75 of Baldwin, passed away on Saturday evening, April 19, 2025 at Corewell Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids.  He was born on March 19, 1950 in Fremont, Michigan to James Albert & Maxine “Tina” (Anderson) Romine, Sr.  He was a US Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era.  Jimmy had worked at Guardsman, Valspar, and Lilly, where he had been a faithful employee for 40 years until his retirement in 2010.  He enjoyed playing softball, golfing, hunting, fishing, classic hot rod cars, and most of all he loved being with his family.  Jimmy is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tammy Hall-Romine; “dad” Vic Halverson; children:  Ryan (Stacey Ann Stevens) Romine, Melody (Roy Walker) Roberts, Daniel (Patsy) Hall, Jason (Tiffany) Romine, Sarah Romine; 14 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Debra Nelson; brother, Robert (Rose) Romine; and by many nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Leona Romine; by Ryan’s fiancée Misty Gillespie; by his mom, Maxine "Tina" Halverson;  and by his sister Sherri Romine.  According to Jimmy’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be held from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Inspire Church in Fremont.  Military Honors will be held beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by a time of sharing, and then a luncheon and time to visit with the family until 2:00 PM on Saturday.  Suggested Memorial:  Wounded Warrior Project.
