Janet Sue Fisher, age 79, from Newaygo, MI, 3/7/1946-12/5/2025, passed away on Friday evening from complications due to her fight with alzheimers and dementia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Ruth Braden and sister-in-law Alice Braden from IA, brother-in-law, Howard Fisher and her husband's parents, Dallas Melvin and Marjorie Mae Fisher from IN. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stanley Fisher of Newaygo, MI daughters Tricia (Michael) Ried of Holt, MI and Angela (Robert) Pullman of Sparta, MI: her grandchildren: Michelle and Tiffany Ried, Justin (Chelsea) Pullman, Dylan White, Alissa Pullman, her Great grandchild: Magnus Pullman, Her brothers: Dale (Cindy) Braden, Rodger Braden, and Wayne (Janet) Braden of IA and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, teacher, and friend who loved to educate, garden, sing in the choir, and spend time with family. She was a valued and beloved teacher for many children and families in Indiana and Michigan for 35 years. She was active in her community through the Newaygo Public Schools, Newaygo United Methodist Church, Kids Hope Mentor, and Habitat for Humanity. Memorial service with a luncheon will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 Newaygo United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Charnley officiating. Visitation will be at church from 10-11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or Mercy Ships, aiding children with life-threatening diseases all across the world.
