Janice Ilene (Herin) Fairchild

Janice Ilene Fairchild, age 86 of Hesperia, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital.  She was born on May 1, 1939 in Ferry Township, Michigan to Lloyd & Wilma (Mendham) Herin. 

Janice had worked at the Star Theatre in Hesperia, and at Ed’s Orchard Market in Hesperia.  She enjoyed knitting, bowling, square dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. 

On September 21, 1957 she married Raymond V. Fairchild and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2025.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Paul “Ferris” & Myrtle Fairchild; brother, Larry Herin; sister, Barbara Jean Herin; brothers-in-law:  Dale Fritz, Jerry Heckman, Darwin Buck, & Paul Fairchild, Jr; and by her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Fairchild & Lois Buck.

Janice is survived by 2 children:  Ilene Kay (Troy) Roberson of Hesperia, and Bradley Ray (Janet) Fairchild of Hesperia; 3 grandchildren:  Jennifer (Kris) Revoldt of Illinois, Christopher Fairchild of White Cloud, Jamie (Willard) Oyler of Twin Lake; 7 great-grandchildren:  Quinn & Harper Revoldt, Alexis, Bradley & Leah Fairchild, Wyatt & Maxton Oyler.  She is also survived by her sisters, Sandy Fritz & Sherry Heckman; sisters-in-law, Arlene Fairchild & Sue Herin; and by her brother-in-law, Joe Fairchild. 

There will be a time of visiting with the family from 12-1 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont.  A private family graveside service will be held at West Hesperia Cemetery.
