Janis Eileen (Tindall) Bennett

Mrs. Janis Eileen “Jan” Bennett, age 87 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Green Acres Assisted Living in Fremont. She was born on July 30, 1935 in Fremont, Michigan to Morris and Evelyn (Black) Tindall.  As a young girl, Jan accepted Jesus as her Lord & Savior, and she spent the rest of her life devoted to Him. Jan worked as a clerk and cashier at D&W in Fremont. She was a former member of Hesperia Baptist Church, where she was very active in the music ministry and choir. She later was a member of Country Bible Church in Fremont. Jan enjoyed Crafts, shopping and travel.

On September 28, 1953 she married James Bennett, and he survives her along with 3 Children: Steve & Janis (Dykman) Bennett, Julie & Curtis Lynn, Lisa & Phil Annis;  7 Grandchildren: Christy, Jacqueline, Suzanne,  Andy, Erica, Jacob & Curtis; 8 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Delores & Donald Keift, Larry & Judy Tindall, Garnet Angel, Ken & Suki Tindall. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother-in-law, Jay Angel.

A Private Funeral Service for family and close friends will be held at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor Mark Loomen officiating. Interment will be at Jewell Cemetery in Fremont.
