Mr. Jasen Robert Routley, age 48 of Fremont, passed away on Monday morning, November 2, 2020 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born on September 2, 1972 in Hart, Michigan to Harley Wayne & Dixie Lee (Carpenter) Routley, Sr. He grew up in the forestry industry with his family, and enjoyed fishing & hunting. Jasen was a US Army Veteran of the Gulf War Conflict, he was a skilled tradesman, and he was a heavy equipment operator for Environmental Quality Management. In 2004 he was in an ATV accident, and after that he became a very good artist and donated his artwork to Mary Free Bed. Jasen had also managed Chuck’s Boat Rental in Fremont. He is survived by 2 sons: Robert M. Routley & Cody A. Routley; Texas, his service dog from Paws With A Cause; his father, Harley (Jackie) Routley, Sr.; his mother, Dixie Carrier; 2 brothers: Harley W. (Stacy) Routley, Jr., Shain Routley; 2 sisters: Tammy (Keith) Fuller, Shannon Nanni; many nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews; and many aunts, uncles, & cousins. Jasen was preceded in death by his brother, Steven A. Routley; and by his grandparents, Robert & Daphne Routley. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
