Jaunita L. (Covert) Howell

Jaunita L. Howell, age 93 of Newaygo, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at New Haven Assisted Living in Lakeview, Michigan.  She was born on May 31, 1931 in Barryton, Michigan to Claude M. & Dorothy Mae (Snyder) Covert.  Jaunita was a member of Luther Bible Church where she played the organ & piano.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting.  On March 7, 1954 she married Roger Howell and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2012.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Martin Covert, and by her sister Mildred Johnson.  Jaunita is survived by 5 children:  Patricia (Peter) DeJong, Paul (Dauri) Howell, Marshall (Susan) Howell, Nancy Allensworth, David (Rachel) Howell; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, & 3 great-great grandchildren; and by several nieces & nephews.  A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Luther Bible Church with Pastor David Bongard officiating.  A luncheon and time to visit with the family will immediately follow the service at church.  Suggested Memorial:  Luther Bible Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
