Jean C TerVeer, age 89 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday afternoon, July 14, 2024. She was born on October 27, 1934 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands to William and Anje (Arends) Meijer. Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always wanted to give her kids/grandkids the best in life because she grew up in a war-torn era and didn’t want her kids to go through what she went through. She worked for Nationwide Advertising Company for 15 years, loved bargain hunting and going to the pool @Tamarac. She was a great interior decorator and the owner of The Olde Country Gift Shoppe in Fremont. She was a member of Inspire Church in Fremont. On February 27, 1953 she married Albert John TerVeer and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2021. Jean was also preceded in death by her twin sons, Peter John TerVeer II and John David TerVeer. She is survived by 3 children, Robert (Trena) TerVeer, Nancy (David) Riness, Ken (Carrie) TerVeer; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her brother Hendrick Meijer; and by her twin sisters; Lenie Dykstra and Roslyn Beckett. The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Inspire Church with Pastors Matthew Deprez and Matt Stitt officiating. Livestream is available through a link at the Inspire Church Facebook page (facebook.com/liveinspired.church). A luncheon will immediately follow the service at church. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 11-12 Noon on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Newaygo County Compassion Home.
