Jeanette Lorraine (Johnson) McNeil

Mrs. Jeanette Lorraine McNeil, age 84 of Holton, Michigan, passed away on Thursday afternoon, March 5, 2020 at her home.  She was born on August 11, 1935 in Ishpeming, Michigan to Raymond & Elizabeth (Schafer) Johnson, Sr.  Jeanette graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1951.  She met Douglas Arthur McNeil in 1951 and they were married on August 15, 1953.  Jeanette had been employed by White Pine Copper Company as a key punch operator, and she had been a self employed beautician.  She was also a cake decorator, and she was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Fremont.  Jeanette is survived by her children:  Sheryl (John) Lawrence, James McNeil, Tim (Betty) McNeil, Doug (Maria) McNeil, Les (Melinda) McNeil; 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and numerous nieces & nephews.  Jeanette was preceded in death by her son, Wesley McNeil; by 1 grandchild; and by 1 brother & 4 sisters.  There will be no visitation or service.  Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Bergland, Michigan.  Suggested Memorial:  Faith Baptist Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
