Jeffrey "Jeff" Brian Mott

Jeffrey “Jeff” Brian Mott, age 58 of Fremont, passed away on Monday afternoon, July 21, 2025 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born on October 6, 1966 in Steubenville, Ohio to Jack Lee & Cheryl Kay (Augustine) Mott.  Jeff had been an air traffic controller at the Muskegon County Airport for 30 years until his retirement in 2018.  He was an Eagle Scout, and he had been a Boy Scout Leader and Girl Scout Volunteer.  Jeff enjoyed fishing, traveling, and rock hunting.  He had also been a Fremont Public Schools Band Program Volunteer.  On November 2, 1991 he married SaQuana Braafhart and she survives him along with 2 children, Devin Mott & Shelby Mott.  Jeff is also survived by his mother, Cheryl Mott; brother, Brian (Audrey) Mott; and niece, Brianna Mott.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Mott.  There will be no visitation or service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Newaygo County Compassion Home.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
