Jerrine "Jerre" Jane (Terpstra) Swifink

Mrs. Jerrine “Jerre” Jane Swifink, age 77 of Fremont, passed away at her home on the lake, surrounded by her family, on Friday afternoon, April 9, 2021.  She was born on May 5, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to James Robert & Mary “Dorine” (English) Terpstra.  Jerre was highly involved in opening Founders Trust in Grand Rapids, where she worked until her retirement.  She loved to make cookies with her grandkids, and she enjoyed creating cherished memories with her family at the cottage on Long Ryerson Lake.  On November 15, 1968 Jerre married Robert Swifink and he survives her along with 2 children:  Todd (Heidi) Swifink, Kim Ricord; 4 grandchildren:  Skylar & Taylor Swifink, Dawson & Cortney Ricord; 1 sister, Dayle (Robert) Moylan; 1 brother, Robert (Bonnie) Terpstra; sisters-in-law:  Joyce (Loren) Degroot, Jan (Lance) Mitchell; and by several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother Jimmy Terpstra.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date.  Suggested Memorial:  The American Cancer Society.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
