Jerry R. Hunt

Jerry R. Hunt, age 75 of Bitely, passed away on Friday evening, August 27, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon.  He was born on December 31, 1945 in Fremont, Michigan to Freeman & Jessie (Bruner) Hunt.  Jerry had been employed at CWC Textron in Muskegon, Hayes Lemmerz Foundry in Cadillac, and Kaines Manufacturing in Ludington.  He had also owned & operated Knotty Pine Grocery in Bitely.  Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking, picking mushrooms, and especially spending time with his family.  On August 1, 1964 he married Betty Lou Maynard and she survives him along with 2 daughters:  Rita (Jim) Blackburn, Annette (Daryl) Smith; 3 grandchildren:  Heather (Jason) Wilt, Mark (Meghan) Hunt, Brendan BeHanna; 2 great granddaughters, Amelia & Lila Wilt; 2 sisters:  Delores Brown, Donna (Doug) Vigna; 2 brothers:  Don (LaVeda) Hunt, Larry (Norma) Hunt; and numerous nieces &nephews.  Jerry was preceded in death by 3 grandsons:  Alexander, Michael, & Steven BeHanna; by his parents, Freeman & Jessie Hunt; and by his brothers & sisters:  Clifford Hunt, Leslie Hunt, Mary Brandt, Mildred Winchel, Walter Hunt, Duane Hunt, Norman Hunt, Nellie, Freeman Hunt, Jr., Rosalie Maynard, & Thelma Fletcher.  According to Jerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation or service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
