Jessie Lynn Petry, age 19 of Fremont, ran into the arms of her heavenly Father on Friday, April 5, 2024. She is experiencing a peace like never before. “Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.” Psalm 118: 5 She was born on June 26, 2004 in Fremont, Michigan to Jeff & Dawn Petry. Jessie graduated from Fremont High School in 2022, where she had been on the swim and soccer teams. She was studying to be a nurse and was currently a nurse tech at Gerber Hospital in Fremont, but her heart was for Christian ministry. Jessie loved music, hunting and woodworking. She also loved being a summer youth counselor at Whitehall Camp in Emlenton, PA (Church of God, Anderson, IN), but most of all she loved her Lord Jesus and her family. She is survived by her parents, Jeff & Dawn Petry; sister and brother, Reese & Ryan; grandparents: Philip & Janet Grossenbacher, Catherine & Harry Norman, Roy & Ethel Petry; aunts, uncles, & cousins: Matt & Lisa Grossenbacher & their children Bo & Brynn; Alexandra & Sam Norman-Selles & their son Moses; Scott & Angie Petry, their son Kodie (Kassidy) Petry & their children Kayzlee & Kage; Shawna & Greg Harvey & her children Jackson & Presley; special great-aunt, Carolyn (Roger) Johnson; great-uncle, Val (Debbie) Grossenbacher & their families; and boyfriend, Jayden Van Stee. The Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Inspire Church in Fremont with Pastor Matthew Deprez officiating. Visitation will also be at the church from 4-6 PM on Thursday. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at church, and a private family graveside service will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
