JoAnn Marie Du Bois, age 87 of Fremont & formerly of Grant, went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday evening, December 2, 2021. She was born on October 10, 1934 in Kingston, Michigan to Anthony “Tony” & Olga (Simeneta) Sutake. JoAnn had been a school bus driver for Grant Public Schools, and she had been a respiratory therapist. She was a faithful member of the Freedom Bible Fellowship Church. She enjoyed board and card games, and playing online word games with friends. On September 8, 1951 she married Gerald “Jerry” Du Bois and he survives her along with 4 children: Steve (Annette) Du Bois of Grant, Victor (Jeanette) Du Bois of Fremont, Sandy (Chris) Anderson of Morley, Cindy (Chuck) Denhof of Grant; daughter-in-law, Karen Du Bois of Grant; 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; 1 sister, Bonnie (Roger) Krol of Grant; 1 brother, David “Tony” (Cindy)Sutake of Iowa; brother-in-law, Larry McClain of Grant; and by many nieces & nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her son, Gary Du Bois; by her sister, Janet McClain; and by her brother, Billy Sutake. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of JoAnn’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Inspire Church in Fremont with Mark Bushen officiating. A luncheon and time to visit with the family will immediately follow the service at church. Interment will be in Ashland Township Cemetery. Suggested Memorial: Freedom Bible Fellowship.
