Joan Denise Doering, age 87 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 30, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was met at the pearly gates by the love of her life Augie. She was born on April 15, 1936, to William and Frances (Forbes) Noble. Joan enjoyed camping at the Two Hearted River, knitting, crocheting scrubbies, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a school bus driver for 20 plus years until her retirement. On October 9, 1954, she married August Doering who preceded her in death in February, 2022.
Joan is survived by her two daughters: Linda (Doug) Witte, Kelli (William) Lawson; four grandchildren: Tara (Carl) Mayberry, Katie (Brent) Deller, Emily (Loren) Tiffany and Hannah (Loren) Thomas; four great-grandchildren: Elenor and Reuben Deller, Grace Thomas and Lillian Tiffany; her sister and best friend, Joyce Tanis; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sister Judy Henley and brother James Noble.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church in Fremont with her nephew, Pastor Bryan Tanis, officiating.
