John Leonard Scripps

John Leonard Scripps, age 63 of Hesperia, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024 surrounded by his family and loved ones.  John is survived by his children, Sarah and Connor, and his mother Nina. He is also survived by his grandsons - Jeremy, Thomas, Rowan, and Austin, and siblings David, Jill, Jennie, and Jim, and many nieces and nephews.  Along with family, many special friends share in his loss.  Preceding him in death are his father, Jim, his grandparents, Jim and Dorothy Scripps, Dale and Barbara Charters, and his nephew, Dallas Carter.  John worked for years at GM in Wyoming, farmed, and raised cattle on the side. He was a member of the Bitely Boys Riders Club, and spent much of his free time volunteering and raising money for worthy causes, and helping friends and neighbors.  John will be remembered for his quick wit, his hard work ethic, his love of life, nature, and music.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of John's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at The Vine Assembly of God, 112 E. Commerce Street, Grant, Michigan 49327 with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating.  Interment will be in East Hesperia Cemetery.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family from 5-7 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.  Suggested Memorial:  Please consider donating to a charity of your choice that would honor John's life.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
