John David TerVeer

Mr. John David TerVeer, age 67 of Fremont, passed away after a long illness on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids with his family by his side.  He was born on January 28, 1954 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada to Albert John & Jean Catherine (Meijer) TerVeer.  John had owned & operated J. TerVeer and Associates Trucking for many years.  He attended Fremont Wesleyan Church with his parents, and he loved to go camping with his family at Silver Lake.  John is survived by his son, Matthew John (McKenze) TerVeer; daughter, Marissa Catherine TerVeer; granddaughter, Harlyn TerVeer; the mother of his children, Vicci TerVeer; parents, Albert & Jean TerVeer; brother, Robert (Trena) TerVeer; sister, Nancy (David) Riness; brother, Ken (Carrie) TerVeer; many nieces & nephews all of Fremont; special friend, Mary Heslinga; and by many aunts, uncles, & cousins from Canada & the Netherlands.  John was preceded in death by his twin brother, Peter John Terveer II on August 6, 2017.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Inspire Church in Fremont with Pastor Greg Johnson officiating.  Livestream is available through the Inspire Church Facebook Page (facebook.com/liveinspired.church).  Visitation will also be at the church from 12-1 PM on Thursday.  Masks are recommended but not required.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home to help his children with funeral expenses.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
