Joyce Elaine (Brown) Church

Church, Joyce Elaine (Brown) 77, passed away at home in Brunswick, Michigan, on the morning of August 8, 2025. Joyce was born in Muskegon, Michigan, on May 22, 1948. Joyce was the eldest daughter of Robert W. Brown and Genevieve M. Brown (Binns), and is survived by her husband and life love of 45 years, Bernard C. Church, her sisters Susan Kroll (Ron), Pamela Doorenbos (Hank, deceased), Christine Moore (Roger), her step daughter Brittney Young (Christopher), one grandchild, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Joyce studied business and keypunching at Muskegon Business College and Jordan College, and was a long time computer operator at Quality Farm & Fleet. She also worked at Lear Siegler, Gerber Research, Bayview Towers, and Nelson Place, and also handled all the paperwork for the family farm.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.  A Graveside Service will follow at Oakwood-Holton Cemetery with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joyce Church's memory to Bellwether Harbor Animal Shelter and Training Center. She brought a singular sense of order and purpose to every aspect of her life, and she will be deeply missed and remembered fondly.
