Joyce Elaine (Cahill) Hoad

Joyce Elaine Hoad, age 90 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Sunday afternoon, November 7, 2021.  She was born on July 3, 1931 in Lakeview, Michigan to Frank M. & Reva Mae (Campbell) Cahill.  Joyce had been employed by Gerber Products Company for 14 ½ years until her retirement in 1980, and she was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont.  She was an avid decorator & enjoyed journaling.  On August 26, 1949 she married Frank Theodore “Ted” Hoad and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2021.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter Tamara “Tammy” Elliott on January 12, 2021, and by her brother Billy Richard Cahill.  Joyce is survived by her son, Tim (Julie) Hoad of Fremont; 4 grandchildren:  Ashley (Blake) Ensing & Kasey (Matt) Froehle all of Fremont, Miles Elliott of Michigan & Drew Elliott of Florida; and 3 great-grandchildren:  Bowen Ensing, Hayden & Beckham Froehle.  There will be a time of visiting & celebrating Joyce’s life with the family from 1-3 PM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont with Pastor Doug MacLeod officiating.  Suggested Memorials:  Newaygo County Commission on Aging, or Second Christian Reformed Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
