Joyce Maxine (Stratil) Scheffler

Joyce Maxine Scheffler, age 80 of Grant & formerly of Hesperia, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 20, 2025.  She was born on June 17, 1944 in Muskegon, Michigan to John and Donna (Houston) Stratil.  Joyce is survived by her husband Fred Scheffler, whom she married on June 16, 1995; her children:  Brenda (Danne) Hren, Scott (Terri) Hunt, and Brian Hunt; step-sons, Michael and Mark Scheffler; as well as by her grandchildren:  Brody (Ann) Burrell, Donna (Andrew) DeLonge, Joel Hernandez, Ariana Hunt, Isaac Hunt, Olivia Hunt, and River Scheffler; and 3 great-grandchildren:  Eli, Silas, and Jillian DeLonge.  She is also survived by her brother Ronald and his wife Pam, and by her lifelong friend Sharon (Roberson) Parker.  Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John and Donna; her brothers, Larry and Robert and sister-in-law Kathy; as well as by her first husband, Charles Hunt.  A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont with her son-in-law, Pastor Danne Hren officiating.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the funeral home from 12-1 PM on Wednesday.  Suggested Memorial:  Corewell Health Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
