Judy Lynne (Brooks) Pykonen

Mrs. Judy Lynne Pykonen, age 68 of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at her home.  She was born on March 11, 1952 in Fremont, Michigan to Joseph L. & Ellanor M. (Matthews) Brooks.  Judy had been an LPN for 46 years.  She was a kind and compassionate person who touched the lives of many people, and she always saw the best in people.  She is survived by her son, Joseph Pykonen of Fremont; sisters & brother:  Pamela Jo & Tolli Grapis of Stevensville, Michigan, Paula & Greg Gordon of St. Joseph, Michigan, Dean (significant other Mary Ann May) Brooks of Montcalm County, Michigan, Anita (Westervelt) & Robert Blanker of Greenville, Michigan; and by many nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  According to Judy’s wishes cremation has taken place.  Due to restrictions related to COVID-19, a Memorial Service will be held outside at Church of the Living Christ in Fremont (605 Hemlock Street) at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2020 with her brother-in-law, Pastor Greg Gordon, officiating.  Social distancing needs to be followed, and masks are required.  Please bring your own lawn chair and umbrella (for rain or shine).  Interment will be in White Cloud Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  The Newaygo County Compassion Home.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
