Julie Ann (Luchies) Zeldenrust

Julie Ann Zeldenrust, age 62 of Fremont, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at her home.  She was born on May 1, 1964 in Fremont, Michigan to Alvin & Norma Luchies.  Julie graduated from Fremont High School, and then from Muskegon Business College with her Associate’s Degree.  She worked in the Gerber Products Company Corporate Headquarters for 35 years until her retirement.  She was a Detroit Lions and Detroit Pistons fan.  She enjoyed quiet times of cutting their lawn and reading books by the lake. The sight, and sound of the waves, at Pere Marquette brought a sense of peace and tranquility to her life. One of her greatest joys was being a Grandma, and making memories with her grandkids. On August 18, 1984 she married Tim Zeldenrust and he survives her along with 1 daughter, Sara Ann Houskamp; 2 grandchildren, Wesley Ray & Lilah Isabelle.  Julie is also survived by her sisters and brother:  Sharon (Milan) Schipper, Vic Luchies, Chris (Dave) Breuker, Duane (Nancy) Luchies, Jan (Keith) Breuker, Sue (Bill) Hoekstra, Lori Chrystler, Tami Gillette; brother-in-law, Ed Bell; sisters-in-law:  Sue (Dave) Devowe, Karen (Tony) Kryfka, Barbara Poole; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins; and by special friends, Sherri & Dean Nieboer.  Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Julie’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Holton Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Stoll officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service.
