June Belle (Frain) Sanborn

June Belle Sanborn, age 95 of Hesperia, passed away with hospice care on Friday evening, October 11, 2024.  She was born on May 5, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Ivan and Margaret Mae (Boynton) Frain.  June had owned and operated the June Sanborn Drapery Business for many years.  She had been a member of the Paradise Motorcycle Club for 43 years, and she had been the chairperson for Blessing of the Bikes in Baldwin for 38 years.  June also loved to bowl and play golf.  On June 2, 1947 she married Robert G. Sanborn, Sr. and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1998.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Bruce Sanborn; daughter-in-law, Christina Sanborn; grandchildren:  Spencer, April, and Joseph; brothers:  James, Ivan Jr., Phil, Leon, and Bob Frain; and by her brother-in-law and his wife, Lee and Bev Sanborn.  June is survived by 5 children:  Alan (Catherine) Sanborn, Kathleen Pogodzinski, Judith Drevers, Scott Sanborn, Robert G. Sanborn, Jr.; numerous grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Rose Frain and Barbara Frain; many nieces and nephews; and by many, many people that she was a mother to.  A celebration of June’s life will be held at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 2-4 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2024.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to a hospice of your choice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
