Karen L. (Zacharias) Drake

Karen L. Drake, age 70 of Fremont, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 16, 2023 at her residence.  She was born on March 2, 1953 in Fremont, Michigan to James & Elizabeth (Arnold) Zacharias.  On January 25, 1969 she married Gary Drake, and together they delivered campers all over the United States.  Karen enjoyed gardening, flowers, hummingbirds, and she was the best mom ever.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Drake on September 16, 2014; granddaughter, Ashley Victoria Drake on July 5, 2014; and by her sister, Linda Ferguson.  Karen is survived by 2 children:  William (Michelle) Drake of Marana, Arizona, Rhonda (Jeremy) Kuhns of Newaygo; 8 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren; sisters:  MaryAnn (Bob) Hoad, Lola Allen, Beverly Riggs, Sue (Frank) Herman, Becky Zacharias; and by many nieces & nephews.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Johnson officiating.  Interment will be in Bridgeton Township Cemetery.  Visitation will also be at the funeral home from 5-7 PM on Monday, and from 10-11 AM on Tuesday.  Suggested Memorial:  Harbor Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
