Karen F. (Evans) Torrey

Karen F. Torrey, age 76 of Fremont, passed away on Monday morning, September 20, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on January 11, 1945 in Muskegon, Michigan to Lloyd Elmer & Opal Lillian (Draper) Evans.  Karen loved being a homemaker and being with her family.  On December 9, 1961 she married Max M. Torrey and he survives her along with 5 children:  Edward D. (Pam) Torrey of White Cloud, Diana M. (Jan) Relford of Hesperia, Max M. (Tiffany) Torrey, Jr. of Holton, Cheryl L. (Simon) Burdick of Fremont, Joseph C. (Amber) Torrey of Twin Lake; 31 grandchildren & 30 great grandchildren.  Karen was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Evans; by her mother, Opal Evans Dean; by her step-father, Ronald Dean; and by her sister, Betty L. DeBoer.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Suggested Memorial:  The American Cancer Society.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
