Karen L (Mangas) Zettle

Karen L. Zettle, age 80 of Fremont, passed away on Thursday morning, July 24, 2025 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.  She was born on May 16, 1945 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to John & Vera (Rauch) Mangas.  Karen had worked in the reservations department at a Holiday Inn in Chicago, and she retired from the Data Entry Department at Gerber Products Company.  She liked to bowl, travel, read books, and play bingo and color at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility.  On October 17, 1981 she married Donald Zettle and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2006.  Karen is survived by 3 step-children:  Donald Zettle, Mike (Deb) Zettle, Faith (Jim) Gugle; 5 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren, & 2 step-great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her special friends:  Vicky Bovay, Jennette Rush, & Donna Rush.  Karen was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Della Robbins; step-daughter-in-law, Diane Zettle; step-great grandson, Jeremiah Smith; and by her brother, Gary Mangas.  The family would like to thank the staff at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility & at Faith Hospice for all of their loving care.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Murchison officiating.  Visitation will also be at the funeral home from 10:30-11:00 AM on Tuesday.  Interment will be at Sherman Township Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  Faith Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
