Katherine "Kathy" Ann (Golden) Stratil

Katherine “Kathy” Ann Stratil, age 74 of Hesperia, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at her home.  She was born on January 15, 1950 in Shelby, Michigan to Kenneth Arthur Golden & Doris Louise Sweeten.  She grew up in the Muskegon & Montague areas.  At age 14, the family moved to Hesperia where Katherine soon met the love of her life, Robert Joseph Stratil.  The two were married August 31, 1968.  They bought the cabin on Loop Road September 2, 1975 and slowly made it into their home.  Kathy made her living working in food services & at Gerber Products in Fremont, Michigan.  After 16 years of marriage, on March 9, 1984 Bobbie Jean was born, her miracle baby.  The family was complete June 6, 2015 when Bobbie welcomed Kathy’s granddaughter, Rayna Rogue.  Kathy cared deeply for her 5 brothers & 5 sisters, helping them whenever/however she could.  Katherine was preceded in death by both parents, Doris & Ken; sister, Barbara; and husband of 54 years, Robert.  Visitation will be from 12-1 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Saturday with Pastor Danne Hren officiating.  Interment will immediately follow the service at West Hesperia Cemetery, and then a luncheon will be held at the Weaver Park Kitchen & Pavilion in Hesperia.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
