Kathy Ann (Meeuwenberg) Hartger

Kathy Ann Hartger, age 71 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening, July 26, 2023.  She was born on June 17, 1952 in Fremont, Michigan to Gerrit “Pat” & Helene (Zandvliet) Meeuwenberg.  Kathy had worked in customer service for Old State Bank in Fremont, Bethany Christian Services, and Re/Max River Valley in Newaygo.  She was a member of First Reformed Church in Fremont, where she had played the keyboard and was a Sunday School Teacher for over 25 years.  Kathy especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren & great-granddaughter.  On September 30, 1971 she married Douglas Hartger and he survives her along with 2 children:  Trisha Hartger of Muskegon, Kent (Jessica) Hartger of Fremont; 7 grandchildren:  Kayleigh Hartger, Taydra & Christopher Everding, Drake & Jaxson Hartger, Toren & Ryland Hartger; 1 great-granddaughter, Oakley Hunter; and by 1 niece & 1 nephew.  Kathy was preceded in death by her son, Steven Douglas Hartger on June 1, 2023; parents; sister, Sally VanBoven; and by her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Stanley & Arleen Hartger.  A Funeral Service for Kathy, her son Steven, and her mother-in-law Arleen will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at First Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastor Joel Zuidema & Berny Slomp officiating.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 11-12 Noon on Tuesday.  Suggested Memorial:  First Reformed Church in Fremont.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
