Keith LeRoy Visscher

Keith LeRoy Visscher, age 83, of Fremont, MI and Surprise, AZ passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9 in Surprise, AZ after a long journey with Alzheimer's. Keith was born on December 4, 1940, in Fremont, MI to the late Engbert and Margaret (Schuiteman) Visscher. He attended Ferris State University and pursued a lifelong career in banking and entrepreneurial endeavors. Keith was a man of faith. He loved his family and was a true people person. He had a passion for golf, loved coaching youth football, always cheered for the Michigan State Spartans, and will forever be remembered for his outgoing, caring, and fun personality. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Karen (Hecksel) Visscher, sons Jeff (Jennifer) Visscher of Noblesville, IN and Robb (Amy) Visscher of Caledonia, MI; grandchildren, Hillary (Chris) Akers of Bristol, VA, Kennedy (Kevin) Chase of Celebration, FL, Troy Visscher of Carmel, IN, Hayden Visscher of Caledonia, MI, and Taylor Visscher of Charleson, SC; great grandchildren Aniston, Ellison, and Kendall Akers of Bristol, VA; brother Don (Gayle) Visscher of Fremont, MI; sister Cheryl Visscher of Fremont, MI; brothers-in-law Wayne (Janet, deceased) Hecksel of Coopersville, MI, Dale (Toni) Hecksel of Rockford, MI, sister-in-law Marilyn (Gale) McNitt of Ravenna, MI, and many nieces and nephews.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A church service will be held Saturday, May 25th, 1:00 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 680 E Main St, Fremont, MI.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 25th at Waters Edge Pavilion, 1100 Ramshorn Dr, Fremont, MI from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
