Kenneth Ray Hysell

Kenneth Ray Hysell, age 87 of Hesperia, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 26, 2023.  He was born on January 31, 1936 in Flint, Michigan to Ray & Ida (McLellan) Hysell.  Ken was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He had been employed by Kaydon Corporation for 19 years until his retirement on January 1, 2001, and he was a member of Country Bible Church.  Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, sailing, walking, and riding his bicycle & motorcycle.  He is survived by 4 children:  Debbie (Dick) Close, Larry (Cindy) Hysell, Kevin (Lavonne) Hysell, Karen (Ann Hidalgo) Hysell; 7 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly (Dick) Cherwinski; and close long time friend, Ruth Mason.  Ken was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Hysell; sisters, Elizabeth Carriveau & Shirley Aittama; and by his brothers, Robert & Claude Hysell.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Country Bible Church with Pastor Len Lason officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 12-1 PM on Friday.  Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon.  Suggested Memorial:  Country Bible Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
