Kenneth Klemundt Obituary

Kenneth Marshall Klemundt, age 79 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2025 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  He was born on March 8, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Marshall & Audrey (Watts) Klemundt. Ken was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.  He had been an automobile mechanic for 39 years, working at Deur Chevy and Freedom/Kool Chevrolet, until his retirement in 2008.  Ken was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, and riding his motorcycle.  He is survived by his wife Karen, who he married on September 25, 1965; 2 children:  Katrina (Tim) Boyles of Tazewell, Tennessee, Kevin (Leanne) Klemundt of Hesperia; 6 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters & brother:  Judith Wallace, Carol Albright, Chuck (Jean) Klemundt, Joann (Mark) Bushen; and by many nieces & nephews.  Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall & Audrey Klemundt; brother, Joseph Klemundt; brothers-in-law:  James Wallace & Ken Albright; and sister-in-law, Linda Lou VanNatter.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Mass will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Hesperia with Fr. Len Sudlik as Celebrant.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at church from 11:30-12:30 PM on Monday.    Interment will be at a later date at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Hesperia.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to a charity of your choice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
