Kevin Neil Schutter, age 56, of Montague, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 4, 1968 in Muskegon, Michigan to Calvin & Sharon Schutter. Kevin was a masterful welder/fabricator and owned Fabrication Plus in Montague. He attended Ferry Memorial Reformed Church, and enjoyed boating and snowmobiling. On August 2, 2003, he married Linda Knapp and she survives him along with his two sons: Travis (Brittani Barnes) Schutter, Troy (Desiree) Schutter; six grandchildren: Jayden Barnard, Elizabeth Schutter, twins Cali’Jay Schutter & Caden Schutter, River Schutter, and Gunner Schutter; two step-children: Rachael (Andrew) Knapp-Mahar, Jared Knapp; brother & sisters: Scott (Angie) Schutter, Deb (Bill) Jellema, Kristi (John) Vincent, Sandy (John) Pickett; special aunt Karon Hunt; and by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin & Sharon Schutter. According to Kevin’s wishes cremation has taken place and a short Graveside Service for anyone wishing to attend will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Oak Grove Cemetery in Montague with Todd Staal officiating. There will be a Celebration of Kevin’s Life on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Kevin's shop (4337 Fruitvale Road, Montague, MI 49437) from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
