She married Jon Jeffrey Hutchens and soon gave birth to her first child, Cassandra (Hutchens) Saquing. A few years later they had two more wonderful children, Bethany (Hutchens) Main and John Karl Hutchens. They most recently resided in Fremont, MI. Kim played multiple instruments, including piano, violin, oboe, and accordion. Her other artistic abilities included photography, oil painting, cartoon sketching, watercolor and pastels, the last of which was her favorite medium. She wrote poetry and was published during her time at Sienna Heights College while finishing up her English Literature degree as a non-traditional student in 1991. Over the years, Kim always volunteered at her church playing piano, helping in children’s ministries and bringing food to those in need. She worked as a substitute teacher, bank teller, and loan officer. Kim was a passionate lover of people, of experiences, and of life. She was a very selfless person, even until the end. She passed peacefully and painlessly in her home in Fremont on Monday, January 20, 2020 with her family surrounding her.
