Larry L. Homan

Larry L. Homan, age 77 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on Friday afternoon, June 27, 2025 at Corewell Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids.  He was born on March 31, 1948 in Fremont, Michigan to Leon J. & Vesta I. (Hitts) Homan.  Larry was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era, and he had been employed by Howmet Corporation for many years until his retirement.  He was a NASCAR fan, he loved his classic cars, and he enjoyed making model cars.  Larry is survived by 2 children & 6 grandchildren:  Chris (Doug) Berens of Fremont and their children Josh, Brad, and Angie; Bryon (Courtney) Homan of Fremont and their children Travis, Tyler, and Jacey.  He is also survived by his sisters, Joyce (Robert) Geeting & Carol Canniff; brother, Leon (Louise) Homan; and by many nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon & Vesta Homan; son, Keith Homan; brother, Wayne Homan, Sr.; and by his sisters:  Marilyn Vanderwall, Norma Luchies, and Betty Frens.  Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Larry’s life along with light refreshments will take place from 2-4 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Sherman Township Hall, where Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army at 2:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Samaritan’s Purse.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
