Larry Hooker, age 89 of Fremont, passed away early Saturday morning, October 26, 2024. He was born on August 26, 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to John and Greta (Davis) Hooker. Larry was a US Army Veteran, and he had been a member of the VFW Peacock Post #5315 in Baldwin, Michigan. He had been a truck driver most of his life, and he raised horses in Grant, Michigan when he had a farm. On April 9, 1955 Larry married Donna McKiernan and she survives him along with 4 children: Elise (Stoney) Kempf, Darcy (Arlyn) Fransens, Kyla Hooker, Brad (Lisa) Hooker; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister, Sue (Bud) Borrello; brother, Jerry (Sharon) Hooker; and by many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and by his grandson Brian Hooker. According to Larry’s wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be a time of visiting with the family from 1-3 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.
