Laurla "Polly" Mae (Gleason) Gaines

Laurla Mae “Polly” Gaines, age 77 of Holton, passed away on Sunday evening, October 10, 2021 at Twin Lake Assisted Living.  She was born on December 14, 1943 in Muskegon, Michigan to Ronald Rodrick & Emma Mae (Matthews) Gleason.  Laurla retired from Gerber Life Insurance Company after 30 years of employment, and she worked for the Wesco at 5 mile corner for 16 years.  She was a member of Blue Lake Community Church, and she enjoyed crocheting, reading, and crafting.  She is survived by 3 children:  Pamela Mae (James Roy) Jones of Holton, Patrick James Durbin, Jr. of Holton, Susan Kay Durbin of Las Vegas, Nevada; 7 grandchildren & several great grandchildren; 1 sister, Patsy (John) Beecham of Fremont; and 1 brother, Richard Gleason of Virginia.  Laurla was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Wanda Jo Durbin; by her parents; by her brother, Howard R. Gleason; and by her sisters-in-law, Nancy Gleason & Janet Gleason.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Blue Lake Community Church with Pastor Kevin Pycraft officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Friday.  Interment will be at Clark Cemetery.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
