Mr. Lawrence Edward Denmen, age 81 of Holton, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 18, 2020 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1939 in Muskegon, Michigan to George & Pearl (Gant) Denmen. Lawrence had worked in the logging industry, and he had been employed at Teledyne Continental Motors in Muskegon, at the Owasippe Boy Scout Camp, at CWC Foundry in Muskegon, and at D & H. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, hunting & fishing. On September 3, 1960 he married Martha Rinard and she preceded him in death on June 11, 2006. He was also preceded in death by 3 sons: Lawrence Edward Denmen, Jr., George Edward Denmen, and Rodney Lee Denmen; and by his sister, Doris Zellar. Lawrence is survived by 3 children: Andrea (Rick) VanOver of White Cloud, Mark Denmen of Muskegon, Pearl (Russell DeSong, Jr.) Denmen of Holton; 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, & 1 great-great granddaughter. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Edna Rinard of Fremont; by his sister, Jeanie VanOver of Fremont; by his nephew, Ronald Zellar; and by 3 sisters-in-law. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Newaygo County Compassion Home.
