Leona Marie (Forsythe) Bastian

Leona Marie Bastian, age 79 of Fremont, Michigan and formerly of Belvidere, Illinois, passed away on Sunday evening, June 14, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in East Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She was born on September 12, 1946 in Clinton, Indiana to Elmer and Mary (Taylor) Forsythe.

Leona is survived by 3 children:  Dawn (Joe) Konieczko, Edward (Lyne) Bogielski III, Bryan Bogielski; 4 grandchildren:  Ashley (Sam) Sosa, Joseph (Victor) Konieczko, Edward Bogielski IV, Autumn Bogielski; 3 great-grandchildren:  Santino, Joseph, and Cattleya Sosa.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Forsythe and Gary Forsythe; and by her sisters:  Eleanor Shannon, Marlene Stringer, Betty Pepper, and Judith Perez.
