Leonard “Len” Gayle Rottman, age 84 of Fremont, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was born on August 1, 1938 in Fremont, Michigan to George and Sena (Freye) Rottman. Len spent many years working as a builder, craftsman, and his passion for growing vegetables and magnificent zinnias. He was a member of First Reformed Church in Fremont for many years, where he was active in church serving the Lord and His people. On August 1, 1959 he married Laura (Jean) Kidner. He is survived by his son, Jim (Lenee) Rottman of Walkerville; daughter, Laurie Davis of Fremont; grandsons: Josh (Alicia) Rottman, Brent (Cassie) Rottman, Nicholas (Fiancee Nikki) Davis; granddaughter, Kathryn Davis; great-grandchildren: Jacob Rottman, Parker Rottman, Chase Rottman, and Paige Rottman; brother-in-law, Carl Beeler; and many nieces and nephews. Len was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents; sisters: Katie Boeskool, Charlotte Lubbers, and Gloria Beeler; and by his brothers: Jupe Rottman, Herb Rottman, and Stuart Rottman. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at First Reformed Church in Fremont (348 E. Main Street) from 11:00-12:00 Noon, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Joel Zuidema and nephew Bill Johnson officiating. Interment will be at the Sherman Township Cemetery.
