Linda (Wiersema) Dame

Mrs. Linda Dame, age 71 years of Fremont, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 in Byron Center. She was born on June 18, 1954 in Shelby, Michigan to Bruce & Irene (Schutter) Wiersema. Linda graduated from Western Michigan Christian High School, and spent many years working at D&W in Fremont, as well as managing the gift shop at Gerber Hospital. She attended Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, where she played the organ, piano, and sang in the church choir. On October 4, 1974 she married Bill Dame, and he survives her along with 3 sons: Mike Dame, Jeff (Liz) Dame, Tim Dame; 5 Grandchildren: Ethan, Grace, Paxton, Dylan and Ryan; 3 siblings: Larry (Jane) Wiersema, Glenn (Cindy) Wiersema, Chip (Linda) Wiersema; Brother-in-Law, Pete (Rose) Dame; Sister-in-Law, Mary Lou Dame. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Bruce & Irene (Schutter) Wiersema, and her Brothers-in-Law: Case Dame & Roger Dame. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastors Drew Sweetman and Nate Kooistra officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Friday, January 23, 2025 at church.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Saturday. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Grant.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Fremont Area Community Foundation for The Wellspring Adult Day Services Fund or The Fremont Christian School Endowment Fund.
