Linda S. (Pekel) Guikema

Linda S. Guikema, age 75 of Fremont, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, January 6, 2024.  She was born on September 3, 1948 in Fremont, Michigan to Henry & Joan (Wever) Pekel.  She had been an accountant for Hendon & Slate, and for Oosting & Burt.  Linda was a member of First Baptist Church of Fremont, and she enjoyed camping & golf cart rides.  On June 9, 1972 she married Albert “Al” Guikema, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2018.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.  Linda is survived by 2 children:  Brian (Susan) Guikema of Fremont, & Jayne Guikema of Fremont; 7 grandchildren:  Katy, Lily, Henry, Isaiah, Esther, Daisy, & Martha; sisters & brothers:  Sanda (Jim) DeVries, Karen Everett, Jerry (Mary) Pekel, Timothy (Denice) Pekel, Andrew Pekel, Gwen (Randy) Schafer; and by many nieces & nephews.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Fremont with Dr. Steve Witter officiating.  Visitation will be at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Thursday.  Interment will be in Reeman Cemetery.  Suggested Memorial:  Fountain View Retirement Village of Fremont.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
