Lisa Lyn (Wasmiller) Walker

Lisa Lyn Walker, age 53 of Fremont, MI ( formally Saginaw, MI ) was welcomed into eternal love during the early morning of Wednesday, July 24th 2024. Lisa’s final days were filled with laughter and tears while surrounded by those that she held close. She will be remembered for her lighthearted sense of humor, her courage and strength, and especially for the kindness and love that she showed to all who cared for her. 

Lisa was born in Saginaw, MI on September 28th 1970 to Marcia Wasmiller (previously Goodrich) and Thomas Goodrich. Her childhood was spent traveling with her Mother and Step Father; Walter Wasmiller, who loved and raised her as his own. Lisa enjoyed creative dance through Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy and would further her education as a student at Eisenhower High School. Lisa leaves behind a plethora of friendships, including relationships formed during her years spent living in Georgia, where she would meet the love of her life, Darren Walker. After 8 years of marriage, she and Darren relocated to his hometown of Fremont MI. 

Lisa was well known for her 12 year management position at Wal Mart where she proudly served not only the public but also her well loved coworkers and community through volunteer work and community service. When she wasn’t working, you could find her with her feet in the water or enjoying music next to a bonfire, no matter the time of day. She enjoyed sharing her light and infectious personality through hosting frequent gatherings and celebrations- she was a come one, come all kinda gal. 

Lisa will be missed by many. The love for her family will live on through her life partner and most loyal friend; Darren Walker, Her Daughters; Jazzlyn (Jason) Vincent and Katherine Huggins, Her Son; Alexander Walker; her Granddaughter Paislynn Vincent; and Father; Walter Wasmiller. She leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that held a very special place in her heart. Lisa was preceded in death by her Mother; Marcia Lynn Wasmiller, Uncle; Donald L Poppe Jr and sweet Cousin;Joanna Christina McCook. 

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
