Lois Effie Passage, age 78 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Sunday, November 14, 2021. She was born on September 29, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Lawrence W. & Edna Lavee (Platz) Timmers. Lois was a retired chemist from the Muskegon County Wastewater Plant, and she was an active member of Inspire Church in Fremont (formerly known as Fremont Wesleyan). She had also been a long time member of Christian Women’s Club where she had been a board member, and she had been a secretary for the Newaygo County Exchange Club. On October 23, 1965 she married Richard “Dick” Passage and he survives her along with 2 children: James (Pamela) Passage of Port Orchard, Washington, Christine (Rodney) Milner of Collierville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren: Elizabeth & Jennifer Passage, Sydney & Sarah Milner; brothers & sisters: Leon Timmers of Caledonia, MI., Lorraine (William) Rude of Caledonia, MI., Linda (John) O’Halloran of Charlevoix, MI., Leslie (Judy) Timmers of Comstock Park, MI.; and by numerous nieces & nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother Lowell Timmers. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Inspire Church in Fremont with Rev. Scott Touzel & Pastor Greg Johnson officiating. Visitation will also be at the church from 12-1 PM on Friday. Interment will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
