Lois “Loie” Lynn Kraley, age 71 of Fremont, passed away on Monday evening, April 17, 2023. She was born on June 23, 1951 in Fremont, Michigan to John & Geraldine (Pekel) VanHemert. Loie loved Tigers Baseball, and she enjoyed gardening, watching birds, fighting the squirrels, and driving fast. She also loved a good joke, the more inappropriate the better, and she loved her Moose Family. Loie is survived by 3 daughters: Amy (Scott) Springstead of Spring Lake, Heather (Dana) O’Connell of Whitehall, Rachel (Dave) Jaunese, Jr. of White Cloud; 7 grandchildren & 2 great-granddaughters. She is also survived by 3 sisters: Marcia “Marty” (Rick) Luchies, Sue (Ted) Splitstone, Mary Jo (Chuck) Moon, all of Fremont; and by many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her favorite dog Bailey. A Celebration of Loie’s life will begin at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555, followed by a luncheon and time to visit with the family until 3:00 PM on Saturday. The family would love to see you celebrate her life by wearing your favorite Tigers attire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Newaygo County Compassion Home.
