Loren Shaw Weaver

Mr. Loren Shaw Weaver, age 86 years of Newaygo & formerly of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in Grand Rapids.  He was born on May 18, 1932 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Alvah & Anna (Shaw) Weaver.  Loren had owned & operated Weaver Oil Company from 1958 - 1996, and he had been a member of Croton Trinity Bible Church.  He had also been a pilot, he traveled the world, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, & motorcycling.  On April 5, 1951 he married Theresa Mulder and she preceded him in death on July 14, 1992.  On August 3, 1997 he married Mary Shue Pendergast and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2000.  He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Jeffrey Brian Crawford; by his brother, Aldis Weaver; and by his sister, Ima Calhoun.  Loren is survived by 4 children:  Dale (Dianna) Weaver of Newaygo, David (Janice) Weaver of Fremont, Kevin (Roberta) Weaver of Newaygo, Kari (Brian) Crawford of Fremont; 7 grandchildren:  Courtney & Bryon Homan of Grant, Rachel & Jeremy Denney of Newaygo, Sara & Ed Krohn of Fremont, Andy & Lauren Crawford of Fremont, Nick & Brittney Crawford of Fremont, Erika Crawford of Holton, Kevin Weaver II of Jasper, Alabama; and by 12 great grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, where there will also be a time to visit with the family from 10-11 AM on Tuesday.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to TrueNorth Community Services Children's Programs.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
