Lorry M. Huested

Mr. Lorry M. Huested, age 81 of Newaygo, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Thursday, February 14, 2019.  He was born on July 18, 1937 in Manton, Michigan to Minard & Marie (Greeley) Huested. Lorry graduated from Central Michigan University with a Masters Degree in Education & Administration, and he was a member of Sigma Taw Gamma Fraternity.  He started his career in education in Beal City, MI., and then went to Portland, MI., Belding, MI., and he finished his career in education in White Cloud, MI.  Lorry was an avid fisherman.  He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, teaching bible study, and he was a huge Michigan State fan.  On September 5, 1959 he married Barbara J. Mollenkopf  and she survives him along with their sons:  Kevin & Laurie Huested of New London, WI., Craig (preceded in death in 2011) & his wife Beth Huested of Florida, Brad & Kelley Huested of Stanwood, MI., & Brian Huested of Newaygo; 17 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren; sisters & brother:  Jeanine Smith, Judy Davidson, Edwin & Linda Huested, Janice & Bruce Collins, Debra & Don Bressler.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Don Bressler officiating.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the funeral home from 10-11 AM on Saturday.  Suggested Memorials:  American Heart Association, or Love INC. of Newaygo County.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
