Lyle Harold May, age 80 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, January 8, 2025 and is now pain free. He was born on March 12, 1944 in Fremont, Michigan to Herbert & Luella (Smith) May. Lyle had served in the Michigan Army National Guard. He retired in 2003 as a technician for AT&T, where he had been employed for 38 years. Lyle enjoyed woodworking. On May 24, 1968 he married Peg Morrison and she survives him with 2 sons: Todd (Jeff) Delmay, Jeremy May; 3 grandchildren: Paris (fiance Chris King) May, Xander May, Blake Delmay; 1 great-granddaughter, Ellery King; brother, Lewis (Judy) May; sister, Carol Harmsen; and by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces & nephews. Lyle was preceded in death by his daughter, Haley Lynne May on December 27, 1974; brothers, Wayne & Clayton May; sister, Thelma Giffen; and by his brothers-in-law, Duane Giffen & Ed Harmsen. Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 11-1 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2025. There will be no service, and interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
