Margaret Anne Kowalski, age 71, of Newaygo, peacefully made her way home to our almighty Father on Friday, May 28th, 2021.
She was born May 20th, 1950, in Fremont, Michigan, to Ben and Marie Sovinski.
At age 23, Margaret was working at the family newspaper business (hi-lites graphics), where she sold an advertisement to Thomas Kowalski. They married six months later and would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this August.
Margaret lived her life with an abundance of grace, unwavering faith, and unconditional love for her family and friends (especially her grandbabies). Her kindness and generosity knew no boundaries. She was an angel on earth... Always a giver. It made her heart happy to feed everyone and anyone who walked through her door. Some of Margaret's favorite things were feeding her hummingbirds, saving turtles off the road, trips to Disney World, winning card games, and The Price is Right. The family's favorite memories of Margaret include her cooking/baking, playing bingo, gardening, predicting the weather better than any meteorologist, and the way she would tap dance while waiting for popcorn to pop.
Margaret will be missed by her husband Tom, her three daughters Stefani (Joel) Dunn, Kari (Darren) Barbo, and Susan Powers, her grandchildren Taylor, Ellie, Kenna, and Thomas. Her parents Ben and Marie Sovinski, her seven siblings Mike (Kathy) Sovinski, Tony Sovinski, Dan (Cindy) Sovinski, Jon (Julie) Sovinski, Mary (Mike) Sullivan, Joe Sovinski, and Julie Sovinski. Sister-in-laws Leona Seiler, and Helen Brown. As well as several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Margaret was received in Heaven by her grandmother Mary Spampinato, Brother-in-law Martin Kowalski, and nephew Steven Sullivan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10th, from 5-7 pm at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home 637 E Main St, Fremont, MI 49412. A church service will take place at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church 599 W Brooks St, Newaygo, MI 49337 on Friday, June 11th at 11 am. Luncheon immediately following at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
